About Me
We are a couple from São Paulo/Brazil, traveling in America. 🇧🇷 ✈️🇺🇸
There is no better way to understand culture and discover interesting things in a foreign country than spending time with locals. This is the main reason why we are here.
As travellers we are, we also want to save our money in order to do more cool things. I would feel bad with myself if I didn’t mention this. We cannot deny that you help goes in a long way. We really appreciate the trust that is given from people like you who are willing to open their doors to us. We hope to be able to give you something in return of your trust and kindness.
We love traveling! I’ve been in America four times…I was an exchange student in Beaverton/Oregon, when I was 15 years old. Everybody wore Nikes there!
I also lived in Melbourne and King Island, a tiny island in Tasmania/Australia. Before that I worked for an exchange agency in São Paulo and I thought it was time to explore new worlds.
Recently, I was teaching English in Brazil. I still have a long way to go as an English tutor. Learning a new language is something that everyone should do. By learning a language, I was able to learn more about myself and others.
Thalia is my girlfriend (and best friend) :) She is having her first experience abroad and that is the main reason why we are traveling in America. That has always been a dream of her and it was time to make it happen. :) We’re so excited that we’re doing this together.
Thalia is an amazing circus teacher in São Paulo. She teaches kids to do aerials and other circus skills! Cool stuff!
She loves outdoors activities, such as long hikings and climbing.
Let’s talk about we as a couple! We ❤️ cousine. We are foodies! We are not chefs, but we love everything that is related to food. Have you ever had Brazilian sushi? If you haven’t, let’s make sure we talk about this! I’d love to make you Brazilian temakis/sushi rolls.
Lastly, I am a roller coaster fan. I’d take a flight from Brazil to come to the USA on a Friday night to spend 2 days at Six Flags before coming back to my country. I will never forget the first time I rode Kumba at Bush Gardens when I was 10.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better and in case we have a match, we’d be willing to learn more about you and your house rules as a host.
If you’d like to get to know us better, feel welcome to drop us a message! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the Rolling Stones and some other bands from the 80’s.
My favorite movie is “Contact” with Jodie Foster. I really like their discussion about faith, science and religion. Deep!
I am all about English teaching books. Thalia is an avidly reader. She’s just read Homo Deus from Yuval Harari.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made premium camembert and blue cheese in Tasmania!
Teach, Learn, Share
We’d be so happy to cook and teach our hosts on how to make Brazilian dishes, like “Camarão na Moranga - Shrimp in the pumpkin” or our proudest Brazilian desert “brigadeiro”.
I could also help you with skateboarding. Thalia would be happy to share some of her circus skills. She’s actually hoping to find out people who is involved with the circus art in the US.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We’re hoping to share great memories with our hosts! We’d love to have them visit us in Brazil after we leave the US.
