About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I have two missions: the first is to get away from Brazil, and the second is to get back the long way around. I plan on making a 3 month trip trough Europe and Asia trying to make as many friends as possible!
ABOUT ME
I am a 29 years old brazilian dude that decided in 2013 to give it a try and quit his job as an engineer for having some adventure and personal challenge. My current project is to be on a 4 month trip beginning in September in England and ending in Shanghai, trying to mostly get everywhere by ground (or water) transportation. In this trip I would like to make friends with locals everywhere I go, and couchsurfing is a great way of doing that.
I really enjoy travelling and had the opportunity of going to such places as Argentina, Spain, France, England, USA, etc, all familiar places with familiar culture, but now I want to get to know places with different cultures.
I enjoy reading (mostly fiction, but also enjoy science literature), writing and playing the piano. I am not much of a party guy, and will rather spend the day exploring cities than staying all night partying, though I enjoy hanging out with friends.
I also am engaged to a wonderful girl who I love very much and intend to marry her as soon as I get back from this trip.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live my life not being driven just by the fear of going out of my comfort zones. I always keep an optimistic view of things, and have the general opinion that, no matter what goes wrong, things will work out for the best at the end.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I just couchsurfed twice in Kiev, Ukraine. It was awesome! Both my hosts were really fine guys and, in fact, meeting them was the best part of the couchsurfing experience.
Interests
I am interested in books, playing music, flying airplanes (I am getting some flight hours for becoming a pilot), PC games, movies.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Jurassic Park, both the movie (the first!) and the books. Other movies I love are The Red Violin, Pulp Fiction, The Legend of 1900, Inglorious Basterds, The Godfather collection, the new Batman series, among others. I also love the Game of Thrones TV series and the books, though I have read only the first one.
Some authors I really love are Michael Crichton, Bernard Cornwell, Isaac Asimov and George R. R. Martin.
About music, I like The Beatles, Queen, Rhapsody of Fire, Iron Maiden, Angra, classical composers such as Mozart, Tschaikovsky, Mendelsohn, Beethoven, and so on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to the Comic Con San Diego, which is an amazing thing to witness for a nerd like me.
I have parachuted and flew on a ballon.
I am getting flight hours for becoming a pilot (small aircraft), and the first time I flew an airplane was an incredible moment.
I fought rabid zombies at an abandoned shopping center.
I was an extra at the Game of Thrones shooting in Dubrovnik, Croatia. This was one of the most fun and amazing things I have ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
I never tried to, but I suppose I could teach piano playing, Python programming, portuguese, spanish and english speaking.
