About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really look up to Couchsurfing way of connecting people. It seems to me pretty much as Facebook on reverse: while on FB people compete a lot and try to make a point of how awesome and cool they are, how superior their opinions are, CS is about introducing yourself to someone you don't know while being genuinely wide open to what you can learn from that person and how similar we are as human beings despite all ethnic, social or cultural differences we may have.

Interests

I both love and need escaping from routine as often as I can. I do it especially by traveling, but also doing what I see as "traveling inside in my city", which would mean something like doing my best to pursue a tourist perspective while still in Rio (where I've lived all my life). For me, traveling is basically about looking for the unknown, trying to explore and find out the most I can about new places, both remote ones and megacities.

Having very low budget and a cheap bicycle, I went through and had to overcome many troubles and learn something from them.
