About Me
My name is Felix and I grew up in the beautiful south of Germany in the city of Heidelberg.
I have always loved traveling and was fortunate enough to start visiting different countries all over the world with my parents early on.
After school I decided to do a year abroad and lived in Denver/Colorado in the United States of America.
In 2017 I moved to the German capital Berlin to pursue my Bachelors degree in economics and politics after finishing my apprenticeship in Hotelmanagement in my hometown Heidelberg.
Now I live right in the center of Berlin-Friedrichshain where you can find all the clubs, bars and nightlife. Fortunately my street is very quiet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I realized that if you are always working towards going on big vacations in destinations far away, you neglect your beautiful home continent. I think that we Europeans are really privileged in that our continent is so diverse and yet so small in size. There are so many beautiful countries and cities within reach. In addition to that traveling within the EU and Schengen as an EU citizen is like traveling your home country.
So I thought to myself that I should really take more advantage of that.
Most of the time one only has to actually sit down and start planning, as traveling by train, plane or bus gets cheaper and cheaper. As a student I love the idea of sharing my home with interesting people as well as meeting people through staying in their homes. Meeting new people is a cornerstone of every travel experience for me.
