I just recently graduated from university and I'm traveling the world before I have to start my job.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing is a great way to make friends. I am curious about people and their different philosophies of life. I love to exchange stories over a meal or just hangout and play some cards with a drink. I am also excited to learn about cuisines from around the world and would love to learn new recipes and help cook with hosts.

Interests

I’m interested in peoples theories of the universe. I studied physics and I like combining scientific concepts with spiritual ideas and seeing where they intersect. I find concepts like fractals and chaos fascinating.

I’m interested in music production and synthesis. I tried building my own analog modular synth from electronic parts scavenged from broken electronics. Didn’t get very far but was fun to try.

I’m also interested in long distance running and cycling. I’m planning on running my first marathon next year and hope to start cycling so I can do a triathlon as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:

Currently in a Bob Dylan phase. I like to write songs in his style. I play quite a bit of music back home with my friend Peter. I’m also a big fan of dreamy etherial music like beach house. Reggaeton is the best to dance to!

Books:

I like books that are a bit surreal and absurd. I think Murakami does a great job at this. Recently I’ve been reading the teachings of Sri Aurobindo who I first learned of when spending time in India.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to grow oyster mushrooms on excess cardboard as a sustainability initiative. We donated most of our mushrooms to a food drive but the operation stopped during COVID :(
