I'd say i'm an open minded person, friendly, curious about many things, especially the others. I'm studying hospitality and what "home" means for my thesis, so talking about it and asking couchsurfers what they think about it really feeds my toughts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing for some years now and i really liked this idea and all the people that i met from that mean.
I'm using it because i like people, i like to host, to cook and to have the chance to meet my guests.
It's also a good feeling just to please your couchsurfers and try to make them feel happy.
I'm also on Couchsurfing for more political reasons just because i really want to push that idea of free hospitality, i think it can create a virtuous circle, it can bring confidence, respect and understanding between the people who experienced it. Hosting at my place is also a way to say thank you to the wonderful hosts that i met when i was on the road.
I don't mind if you also want to crush at my place to save some money i just want to feel that it's not the ONLY reason. For me it's totally ok to mix those two reasons saving some money and enjoying the company of someone,.
I'm the father of two boys, twins named Oscar and Isaac, 9 years old, i'm having them one week on two, so when they are here i'm usually a bit more busy, as i have to take care of them and deal with the day-to-day activites. But i also like to host surfers when they are at my place bcz i want to show them that opening your door to strangers can positively affect you. It's also a nice way to show them the diversity of people, langages and cultures. When i'm alone i'm more free and i try to give some time to my couchsurfers, for example in showing them Nancy or cooking.
Anyway, even if i love to host, sometimes i'm just tired or i just want some time for myself, my family or my friends, that's why i'm EVENTUALLY accepting guests. Of course if you're really stuck and don't have anyone to stay with you can write me an emergency request. I will try my best to answer positively.

Interests

I'm interested by people, i like to hear their stories, how do they deal with their life, what are their dreams... I like travelling, as i said, art in its different forms ,sport like football, basketball cycling..., culture in general, hanging out with my friends, or just chilling out with a coffee doing nothing. I also like to laugh and make some jokes that's my way of dealing with this uncertain world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm quite eclectic even if everybody says that. From the 90's hip hop to some electronic like Justice, La Femme, Deluxe, also Jazz with Amy Winehouse and good old french songs like Brassens, Gainsbourg...
I appreciate thriller movies, drama, gangster's movies, to sum up when the scenario is surprising.
I read a lot it's one of the thing that i like the most : Kerouac, Bukowski, Houellbecque, Zweig, Kundera and more.
