I'm a very spontaneous person not doing a lot of planned things.
I really like cooking and having wine or beer with people to talk about random stuff.
And i really like coffee a lot!
Besides this im a tinkerer and traveller and like to learn new languages wherever I am. In my opinion it's important to not just visit a place and see the interesting architecture but also to meet people and share knowledge and spend time together with them to really learn about the culture.
Always I'm trying to stuff some travelling between my quite tight study program to discover new things and places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think taking part in the couchsurfing community is a cool way to meet new people and show them around in Cologne.
I'm really interested in meeting new people and take part in an cultural exchange, maybe developing long lasting friendships and exchange experiences. I'm usually having a full schedule not allowing me to travel the world a lot..
So I want invite the world to my home to learn more about culture, politics, ethics and opinions to see the world from the unfiltered peoples view - outside of the analog and digital media bubble surrounding us.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of movies and reading books. Recently i discovered "hard SciFi" as a very inspiring category.
To be honest, i quite lost track of what i read and watched but what stuck was the "Expanse" series by James S.A. Corey, Cixin Liu's "Three-Body Problem" series, books by Stanislaw Lem (espicially Solaris) as well as the books of the old mastesr of SciFi Isaac Asimov and Jules Vernes.
Outside of this I loved the books of Tom Clancy, the Game of Thrones series.

Regarding movies i'm more into the productions of small movies like "Elle" which are presented at the small film festivals likes Cannes.

Im working in IT, so i can approximately explain to you why things are, how they are and maybe teach you a little programming. Besides this I really enjoy cooking and could prep a nice meal.
