About Me
Hallouu as you see my name is Felix and I am 27 years old. After school I spend one year as a Paramedic. Then I started studying Economics and Media in Stuttgart but spend one semester in Ambato, Ecuador. I finished my studies at the end of 2015. Then I went of and had a great time traveling through Asia. The journey was planned as a last self-finding trip before the real (9 to 5 job) life should have started. Instead of finding myself I kinda got lost. I had a hard time in Germany before I decided to keep on traveling. And I am so far away from finding myself as never before. But I love it! Maybe finding yourself really does mean losing yourself. In any case, for the first time I not only can understand the famous quote of Sri Nisargadatta but also can feel it.
(“Once you realize that the road is the goal and that you are always on the road, not to reach a goal, but to enjoy its beauty and its wisdom, life ceases to be a task and becomes natural and simple, in itself an ecstasy.”)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd love to meet local people. I really like traveling but sometimes it feels like just passing by - like beeing a tourist on vacation, only visiting the main spots. Due to the fact that I have to work this time (Work and Travel Visa) hopefully it will be a little bit different. For sure I will spend more time at one place, depending on the job I might find. Nevertheless I'd like to cross the hole country - from the east coast to the west coast. So I will be new in town a couple of times. And for that reason - for all these beginnings - it would be nice to know someone who can show me around or give me some recommendations or even let me crush on their couch for one night.

Music, Movies, and Books
All books of Hermann Hesse, Alan Watts and Joseph Campbell. And definitively all Harry Potter books!
I like a whole lot of movies. Hard to say which ones I like the best. So maybe easier the other way around: I can't watch movies by Micheal Bay anymore. To much special effects - not enough story, lousy plots.
Every kind of music. Not a big fan of Rock though unless played by a live band on the beach of Kuta Lombock. I really like electronic music. Almost every kind from Psytrance to Eletco Swing. Its the best music to dance to and the best to meet nice people in the club. Thats why I listen to Hip Hop only at home. Don't like the agressive atmosphere in Hip Hop clubs anymore.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed the Acatenango in Guatemala with food posioning. Horrible experience on the one side. On the other the most amazing thing I have ever done. I was watching the opposite Vulcano erupting like fireworks for 3 hours while everybody else was sleeping in their tents.
