I'm usually a very active person who loves to be outdoors and do things. I also like to cook, eat, drink, talk, hang out, sing, play music and dance. Kind of what a lot of younger folks like to do ;) I'm very interested in the different ways people are leading their lives and searching for hapiness and fulfillment...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting to know places from the perspective of the people who actually live there ist just the best thing. Otherwise you miss out on the most amazing stuff as a mere visitor.
Also I met some of the most amazingly friendly and kind people on CS. I simply love the idea of sharing this friendliness with other Surfers whom I can host at my place...

Interests

Almost anything that has to do with being outdoors and active. I love hiking, cycling, swimming, hanging around in the garden and climbing trees.

Right now I'm kind of obsessed with kayaking. Ever since a trip to the Ardéche in France in spring 2012 I fell in love with whitewater kayaking and canoe polo. I try to spend as much time in the boat as possible ever since.

My second and longer lasting addiction is rock climbing. I started a few years ago: Sometimes climb up to four times a week, sometimes I don't climb at all. For somewhat over a year I'm also teaching young kids how to rock climb safely.

I also play the guitar. Actually I just love to sing along with every tune I hear (I'm very vulnerable to catchy songs!) and needed an instrument to accompany my singing. Started with the ukulele since it only has 4-strings. But fingers do get more dexterous with practice so I upgraded to 6-strings...
