My name is Felix. I am originally from Durham, North Carolina in the US, I moved to New York City early in life and then moved to California in 2006. I live in Oakland, CA right next to San Francisco. I am an artist, a thinker, a food lover, a traveler, and a fun person. I love experience and all of the amazing things that life shows us. I am very open minded, I travel often for my art work, I love to build positive relationships and community. I spend a lot of time in LA, New York City, and have spent quite a bit of time in Japan as well. I keep my side of the street clean. I love cities so much and exploring, and at the same time I love nature and the deep sense of connection I feel when in the natural world. I consider myself a spiritual person, an intelligent person, and also do not take myself too seriously as I love humor, I love riffing, I love witty banter. I am into pop culture as well as weird underground sub culture (where I thrive) and the mixture of the two. Let's hand out and explore!

I really love people, I love meeting new folks along my journeys and feel like we all do this life thing together. I love finding the insights into culture and food and things going on that only locals can show and experience the power of going deeper than impersonal tourist mayhem. I love making connections and also offering my skills and abilities and personality to others. I believe in togetherness. I enjoy conversation, getting to know people and also experiencing the world through other's eyes. Also financially it helps us all to be able to live more rich lives and I am happy to be on both sides:) I would also love to draw other couch surfers and make about our experiences.

I spent a four days in Koyasan in Japan in 2013 and it was incredible. I then was hosted for an Artist in Residence program in Tokyo after that and it was an amazing experience!
