ABOUT ME

I have a couple of friends who use Couchsurfing a lot. I went to Sevilla with the Erasmus program and met some great Couchsurfers here as well who made me love Spain even more. This made me curious! I love living abroad, traveling and meeting new people. However, I love my hometown Amsterdam as well very much. This summer I will go to Colombia so I'd love to practice my Spanish skills!

PHILOSOPHY

I think one should be nice to everyone without expecting anything back, and try to see the best qualities of everyone.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope that I can participate as a host and surfer. I hope I can make people as enthusiastic about this city as I am. It would be great to meet other Couchsurfers.

I haven't got any experiences yet but I'm looking forward to them! Heard a lot of great stories about it.

Interests

I have a wide range of interests, I love to travel, for example. The sun makes me smile and I love festivals with good music and laidback afternoons on the shore or the river. In Amsterdam I often go to the cinema, to my favorite bars (de kroeg!) with my friends and I like running through the city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have made an interrail trip through Spain, which were the 4 best weeks of my life. It's really interesting to see the different parts of Spain, which are incomparable. We started on a festival in Benicàssim, went to Valencia, Málaga, Granada, Madrid and Barcelona. I have seen San Sebastian as well and I really loved it!

Last summer I went to Cuba and I loved the estilo de vida there. My friends would call me a Cuba geeky. If you're aiming to go to Cuba, I have a lot of interesting stories about it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn! The Couchsurfing experience is, as far as I know, the best way to learn about other languages and cultures. It's really interesting to see the differences, but also the similarities between cultures. That's why I like to show my Dutch way of life as well.
