About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I´m an outgoing and friendly girl from the Netherlands. I love travelling and meeting people and get to know different cultures and views on life. The most important thing in my life is to enjoy it the way it comes. I´m laid back and fun to hang out with. I like to go out for dinner and wine, but I also absolutely love teaparties and going to bed early and waking up early in the morning. I love cooking and eating with a bunch of people, food is, and has always been, an important thing in my life. I'm overall very interested in Latin America (I studied Spanish and Latin American Literature) and the past couple of years this has been my main travel destination. On one of my travels I met my current husband Marco Antonio and after one and a half year of long distance love I decided to move to Cusco, Perú. My husband is an artesan and we love travelling around selling his handmade jewellery. At the moment we're staying in Cusco for a while since we're expecting a baby! :) I´m a loving and warm person with loads of ambitions and dreams, one of which is to explore whole Latin America over land :)

I LOVE: the smell of spring, my friends, hugs, clean outside dried clothes, sleeping, my mother, a good book, pasta, laughing till I cry, kissing, cooking, candlelight, (curled up sleeping) cats, Latin America, (live) music, H&M, good food and red wine, summer, red lipstick, baby feet, dancing alone in front of the mirror, my bike, writing, campfires, Spanish, birds whistling in the early morning, walking in the mountains, kids, peace, Argentinian bbqs, camping, big cats, hard work, idealists, The Beatles, foreigners and everything that has to do with a different culture.
HATE: first of all, spiders. Further I'm not to fond of: rain and adverse wind when I'm on my bike, discrimination, the name 'Felicia', aggressive traffic, nails scratching on a chalkboard or the roof of a car, the zoo, badhairdays, violence toward animals, the growing hole in the ozone, construction workers on the early morning, rotary intersections, lies, the Dutch meat industry, drinking bottles with lids that you have to suck to drink, dry hands (or skin), clogged shower pits, slow computers and/or internet, celery, superficiality, war & injustice, caked dishes, quick-wittedness, not knowing the word but knowing that I know it, petty or narrow minded Dutch people that only talk about furniture and eat potatoes every day of their lives.

PHILOSOPHY

For me the world is a place where an amazing mixture of cultures and traditions meet. I don´t know borders, and I don´t like them. A person to me is a person, no matter where he comes from or what he did, I consider everyone equal.

I consider myself open minded, loving, warm and somewhat spiritual. I don´t like narrow mindedness and try to give what I would like to receive.
