About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling eastern Europe, ending in Warsaw. Hopefully Southeast Asia & Oceania next!

ABOUT ME
22 year old currently basing her entire life on impulse decisions. Sadly can't host because I'm traveling myself and playing international tag with some cool kids.

PHILOSOPHY

Be curious, not judgmental.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted my fair share of travelers and love to clean, and I'll never say no to a beer or three. I can be great company or entertain myself, and would never expect a host to cook or clean up after me as I've read way too many horror stories about that sort of thing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've "lived" on couches on and off for a few months in my brief 22 years here, and I'm an expert at packing light at this point. I love being on the move.

Interests

Writing bad poetry, hiking and all outdoor activities, visiting museums, learning about art and music, reading reading reading, sleeping through important things, Portal 2, cheering people up, pop culture references, and knocking things over by accident.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Whitman, Murakami, Nabokov, Gaiman, Moore, Foer, Vonnegut, Wilde, Carroll, Angelou, Plath, the list goes on. Oh and I love Harry Potter.

Movies:
Amelie, A Clockwork Orange, Scott Pilgrim vs. the world, Pans Labrynth, The Prestige, Tree of Life, SLC Punk!, Indiana Jones, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Almost Famous, Trainspotting, anything by Miyazaki, Lost in Translation, The Shining/most Kubrick films. Unsurprisingly into Del Toro and Tarantino, semi-surprisingly into David Lynch and most horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing up a waterfall in Yosemite national park. Living in New York City. Looking at the moon from a telescope at the Griffith observatory. Running through a sunflower field in Bolivia. Watching the sun rise over the California coast one morning, and seeing it set over the Florida coast that night. Swimming with manatees. Eating tapas in San Sebastian.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak/write Spanish fluently. I find cleaning to be fulfilling. I have some basic/useful sewing skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Drinks, stories, a place to crash in two of the busiest cities in the world (when I return to them, NYC & Miami respectively).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Bolivia, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Spain, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, United States
