ABOUT ME

I'm an optimistic, open-minded person who loves travelling, discovering different cultures and meeting people. I'm studying French and Spanish at the University of Ghent. I lived five months in Spain (Sevilla) and I loved it .. Sometimes we just need to leave our hometown for a while to get some new experiences!
I would really like to go to South-America to do some voluntary work. It would be great if anyone had some advice for me!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is the most interesting (and cheapest) way of travelling. A friend of mine had some great experiences with couchsurfing and I couldn't wait to participate too. It's just amazing how fast you get to know people from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some couchsurfers in my place in Ghent. I liked it a lot, it's such a nice way to meet new people and get to know other cultures! Mostly everyone has a lot of stories to tell and there's nothing I love more than talking about travelling ;)

Interessi

I'm very interested in doing voluntary work. I worked in India and Morocco and bouth experiences have made me so much richer. There I just realised that 'Some people are so poor that all they have is money ... '

I'm currently trying to play the guitar, but I still have to learn a lot! I'm interested in photography and being creative; sometimes I paint or draw.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

In India, I helped with a group of volunteers with the building of a hospital for TB patients. It was a great experience and I am still dreaming about it every day. It's so amazing to see who very poor people can be happy with the small things they have.
Doing voluntary work really makes you a happier person .. you realise that you have to enjoy every single moment of your life and it's just incredible to see how fast you can make other people smile ;)

I can introduce you to the best Belgian beers ;)
What else .. I speak several languages and could offer some classes en Dutch if everyone is interested haha ;

I'm always waiting to hear new stories about travelling :)
