About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a 26 yo eastfrisian girl, outgoing, and curious about the world! I finished my bachelors degree in biology this year and are now on a one year trip to wherever my heart wants to go. I am also a trained nurse who worked 4 years on an ICU in Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am an outgoing person and enjoy meeting new people and learn from them. Couchsurfing helps to keep the world more connencted, and turn strangers into friends.

Interests

My interests are all ocean-related, I'm a passionate scuba diver, snorkeling enthusiast and surfer (At leat im trying to be). The next thing on my list is a free diving course, so i can spend more time under water! I also enjoy going for a run, yoga and be around in nature.
Currently I am doing an internship at a marine research station in Taiwan and will be going to Australia in the middle of december. Can't wait to meet people, learn about the culture and see the country and the ocean.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to a variety of music, currently more into the indie/folk direction. Huge fan of Mumford & Sons, Sons of the East and a lot more.
I also like to read: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Name of the Wind and everything fantasy related. IF there is a movie adaptation, its one of my favourites as well (except for the hobbit trilogy, the book deserved better)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw my first turtle this year while diving, definitly one of the best experiences so far.
Also my cruise to Spitsbergen, got caught by the beauty of the arctic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a vegetarian trying to transition to the vegan lifestyle (i struggle with snacks and recipes from my mother) and love to cook/bake and try new recipes. I am definitly not a guest who wants to be alone, i highly enjoy company, shared meals and good storys! And not to forget a good cup of tea.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Denmark, England, France, Greece, Ireland, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Philippines, Scotland, Spain, Taiwan, United States
