ABOUT ME

I guess I could say I'm an easy going person. I'm quite calm, and prefer a good conversation or watching a movie with friends over a night out on town. I really love my occasional concerts and festivals though (can't get enough actually!) I'm always really interested in other peoples stories, and I'm a great listener so that usually works out quite well.

I'm a social worker, working in a shelter for women who've been victims of domestic violence. It's an interesting job which I really like. My life is quite 'settled' right now, allowing few opportunities to go and see the world. So now's the time to welcome some couchsurfers to my place, before I find the time to go travelling again!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed many couches on my Scandinavia-trip a couple of years ago. That's how this whole CS thing started for me.. The last couple of years I've regularly hosted people. I think it's great to have the opportunity to host and I love it just as much as surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I discovered CS on my way through Scandinavia back in 2011. I've been surfing quite a few couches already, and it's been great so far. Nothing but nice people and positive experiences.
I'm looking forward to welcoming more and more travelers into my own home and giving them great experiences like I've had myself. I like taking care of people :) I've been hosting regularly for the last 2 years and still no negative experiences.

Interessi

Music! Going to concerts and festivals. Reading lots of books. Drinking lots of tea. Doing yoga (teaching and taking classes). Watching movies, walking in the woods, swimming, chilling out in general, cooking-when I have enough time.

Musica, film e libri

Music: A strange variety. Metal is definitely my preference But I really like goa/psytrance as well, as well as lots of other styles. Some of my favorite artists are Emperor, Ministry, Satyricon, Absu, Strapping Young Lad, Iron Maiden, Infected Mushroom, Slagsmalsklubben, Die Antwoord, The Gathering, The Devin Townsend Project, Tribulation.

Movies: Lola Rennt, Fucking Amal, Natural Born Killers, Requiem for a Dream, Pulp Fiction (anything by Quentin Tarantino really), Spun, The Idiots, Metropolis, Clerks, Trainspotting, Tank Girl, Kalifornia, Christiane F, horror oldies like the Hellraiser and Friday The 13th series.

Books: Much love for Chuck Palahniuk, Irvine Welsh and Nick Hornby. But I'll pretty much read anything.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I stayed in Ecuador for a month, doing a tantra yoga & shamanism teacher training. It became more like a personal transformation process. Loved everything about it!

I could teach some Dutch swearing words.. And nice words too, of course.

Maybe some yoga poses if you're interested?

I'd really like to learn to play some instruments, because I love music but I have no clue how to make some myself. Also I've started to spend more time on cooking, and learning some foreign recipes would be awesome!
