About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seriously, that's a hard question. To have a good time?
ABOUT ME
I'm in my mid-twenties, so I won't even pretend to know myself all that well yet. I'm learning more day by day, though.
I enjoy the good life - food, wine, music, parties, all that jazz. People have called me hyper-social, but then again I'm a software developer by profession, so in my social circle that mostly means "not autistic". I can be the perfect ginsbergian platonic conversationalist -- I enjoy an evening over dinner and wine talking about everything and nothing.
Over all I'm pretty chill. I take only the serious things very seriously, and the other stuff not so much.
When I talk about something I'm deeply interested in, I tend to view a conversation as something to be won. I like people who have the gamesmanship to take part in that contest -- even if they're wrong :)
I'm very passionate about ... a lot of things. People, communities, sustainability, practical philosophy, rationalism, literature, software, you name it. Just whatever manages to catch my attention, I'm on it like white on rice.
My attention span is short, but my attention intense.
I like ideas complex, and relationships simple.
I love conflict between opinion, and I can't stand drama between people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far I've been hosting, but definitely looking forward to meeting some people on my travels as well.
As a host I enjoy being able to welcome strangers to my home and making them feel at home. Call it charity if you will, but I also feel I gain from it personally - I get to meet cool people have have a good time.
