CURRENT MISSION
Do lots of weekend trips, since I haven't have the time to travel a lot since I started working
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, and I've been living in that city almost all my life. The lively city is the reason why I'm always fascinated by city lights (especially when seen from afar and from higher ground) and cool, tall buildings. However, given a choice, I would prefer to live in a city less crowded than Jakarta, because the traffic jam was killing me. Imagine standing two hours in a overly crowded bus in the middle of the worst traffic ever in a tropical country. Not fun.
I spent my (supposedly) last year in college in Tokyo, Japan as an exchange student to do research under a professor in the university. It did delay my graduation a bit, but it was worth it as I met so many new friends that I keep in touch with, learned so many different culture, visited many new places and saw the world from so many different perspective. This experience is one of the reason that motivates me to again apply for a scholarship abroad for my master. I studied in Germany and Czech Republic for my master degree. Currently, I am working in one of the multinational IT company here in Prague.
I love to read and write, though I have to admit that I am not a good nor productive writer and I also didn't have the time to read as much as I like these days.
Being a 5-years-old kid trapped in an adult body, I have a vivid and strange imagination and will always believe that somewhere, somehow, the magical world happening in Disney movie exists. My other hobbies include being in unfamiliar places, getting lost and trying to find my way back, and taking screenshot of cool Google doodles.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm very new to Couchsurfing. I've had this profile for more than a year now, but I haven't been actively using it. Mostly because I don't travel a lot when I'm home (that's what happen when your currency is devalued comparing to other countries and when your parents are a bit overprotective). It still sounds a weird idea for me (for now), staying in strangers house. But I've been hearing a lot of good things about couchsurfing from friends, and I'm always happy to meet new people, so now that I got the chance to travel, I definitely gonna try it! :)
