Hi there,
fáilte! I’m Fergus, a Scottish master’s student living in Italy. I joined Couchsurfers because I love to travel and I enjoy stories - so, staying at the homes of like-minded people from other countries seemed like the best way to combine these two things.

Here’s a bit about me:

Firstly, I’ve recently just finished my BA in Aberdeen, Scotland studying politics. I like to travel, socialise, read, play my guitar, and various other bits and bobs. I only speak English fluently (well, just about), but I am also trying, perhaps in vain, to learn Italian. My mum likes to say that French was my first language, but this is maybe a bit of an overstatement considering it’s solely based on the fact I used to call my Lion King teddy “chat”.

I plan to use this app as a way to meet new people while travelling. But this is probably the same for most people on here so to try and distinguish myself, I’ll give a wee story:

My earliest memory of being abroad is probably when my family and I travelled to Athens. Within one day, both my parents’ wallets were stolen, including their bank cards. I enjoyed that trip so much I thought “more of that, please”. And so here I am, many years later, seeking out my next big ‘would-be-funny-to-use-in-a-Couchsurfing-bio’ adventure!

So, as a potential guest I can offer a relaxed atmosphere, fun stories, and an open-minded attitude. Hopefully see you soon! :)

P.S. I also like drinking pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.
