About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To do and try interesting things. To meet people from different cultures.
ABOUT ME
I am a friendly, enthusiastic and generally outgoing person who is keen to meet new people and try new things. I currently live and work in London but I went to university in York and I spent all my childhood and teenage years in Hong Kong and Dubai. I've spent most of my working life in data-analytics (I promise I'm more interesting than that suggests), but I have also had brief stints as a pub-chef and as a tutor. Whilst I am most used to Hong Kong’s alternation between mountainous jungles and sky scrapers, I am growing an increasing fondness for the calm green spaces of Europe. I quite like to party and drink but am also very happy chilling out somewhere relaxed. I also love playing fun or unusual games, both of the board game or running around outside variety.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My first experience was surfing around Germany with three friends; I enjoyed it so much that I made my own account. I also used to go to a few CS meet-ups (for boardgames, and for general meeting people at the pub). When travelling but not couchsurfing I'm a big fan of the hangouts feature too!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All of my CS experiences have been pretty excellent. The thing that makes it for me are the interesting, cool, crazy and unique people you meet through it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most music, although I find myself generally listening to normal chart music or house these days. I am also super fond of atmospheric / ambient music - though I can never find enough of it. Having said that, there is a special place in my heart for cheesy pop and dance songs. I used to be a big rock fan, so I'll also go crazy if Linkin Park comes on.
I like lots of movies + books, although I don't read as much as I should
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once hitch hiked from York to Morocco with a friend (with only a 170 mile detour after I directed us to the wrong port). That was probably the biggest challenge I have ever set myself!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share an easy-going, happy mood.
If you are willing, I am happy to subject you to my poor cooking.
I can teach you a lot about hedgehogs (I have one as a pet).
And if for any god-forsaken reason you have a excel, SPSS or data question - I am happy to help
