Overview
About Me
I am a person with an open heart and a huge smile. To get to know, to listen, to share - it makes me larger, happier, alive.
I am a feminist, and that's the least. And I am very nerdy. The sorts that play RPG, read comics and all that jazz. Workaholic researcher that loves her job, teacher that loves to teach. Tea addicted, wind addicted. You may find me home if I am making kitchen witchcraft or if I am in love with a new book.
Otherwise, I work hard and I play hard - I am a museum bug that will go dance my legs off after the expo closes, go back home, take a shower and go to work after making some more tea. Or coffee, coffee can work too.
And if I am in travel mode you will probably not see me much - I will be hiking. Or inside plays, libraries, museums and dancefloor on new cities.
And although I love to listen, if you let me I can talk for hours. I am also really good at hugging. Seriously. No modesty here, I hug like a bear.
And I will sing when I am on waiting mode. It is not a bug on the system and I don't want it fixed. Just be warned.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I adore meeting new people, learning new things, sharing the enthusiasm I have, the love for my city. And my hunger for new things: new cities, new books, information, places, people.
Ask me if I am free for a coffee or a beer and we can meet! I really love to show my city around!
Interests
Ooof, I am very multi-focused.
Music, art. DIY stuff for my home. Science (bitches). Feminism, gender and sexuality are also a very important part of my life - I work in NGOs that supports victims of sexual and domestic violence. Apart from teaching international law, I teach Consent. AND I coordinate a group for LBT women on polyamory relationships. It is our safe haven and I love it.
What else? Kitchen witchcraft, regular witchcraft. The hardships of not killing my herb garden. I am a spiritual person (ask me about ayahuasca!).
About physical stuff - let's go out to dance! I love samba, dancing forró is one of my therapies, dancing anything makes me extremely happy. And if you also train Krav Maga we may have more things to share!

Music, Movies, and Books
Gods, where to start?
I really love fiction (especially science and fantasy), and graphic novels. And poetry, and historical books. In music, MPB, rock, samba, forró, blues, jazz, funk (both Brazilian and normal funk). And mainly whatever is playing.
Movies? I really like Tarantino, Tim Burton. Sophia Loren is has split some waters - some I love and some really does not moves my gears. More and more in love with Petra Costa, Brazilian director. Not really into Woody Allen.
Recently read:
Americanah, Adichie. Placas Tectônicas, Margaux Motin. Toda Poesia, Leminski. The Martian, Andy Weir.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once remembered where I left my cell phone without loosing 30 min searching for it! W0000t!
Another really good thing I've done? Helped heal a friend's heart by singing a song to her.
And I discovered I love to fly - by trying to beat my height phobia by overload. It worked. Flying (falling?) feels like home. So whenever I can, I will jump out of a plane and skydive. Lifegoal - base jump.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching, learning, sharing - that is basically my life moto. Please crack my head open and you will have my gratitude.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughs, dancing in ridiculous and amazing ways, coffee, tea, drinks, museums. Good discussions on life, nerd stuff, international law and trade, coherence, logic. An afternoon in a park just sunbathing. And hugs.
