I am a young spirit trying to learn and enjoy life simultaneously, while taking strong political stands in such uncertain world.

ABOUT ME

I love conversations with people that are meaningful and consequential, it can be about almost anything. I love laughing and being honest and straight-forward, I like cooking for and with other people, I consider myself a very expressive person in general, from words to painting and other artistic media. I try to be aware of issues that affect me and my family, community, country, and the environment. It is hard, though, to keep track of everything, and I am not the best at daily news consumption (still trying to figure out how to do that).
I love dancing to lively music, from salsa to hip hop, and even rock and banging my head to metal.
I am a heat person, I was born and raised in the beach. I enjoy playing soccer and playing the piano --the little I know--

We all live in the same planet and every action and decision in this global world affects each other**

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time doing couch-surfing. I have had the profile for a little while but haven't had the chance to frequently engage with it. I created the profile after my first college roommate told me about his experience, so I was really excited to try it out!

My first book as a child was The little prince and deeply influenced my upbringing/
My favorite movie is Amelie Poulain because it makes me feel happy about life even when I am sad and tired/
I love listening to Manu Chao, Calle 13, Coldplay, Nightwish, Yoko Kanno & The Seatbelts, Zoe, Shakira, Edith Piaf, Yann Tiersen, Dario Marianelli, Avantasia, etc. etc. etc...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share what I have learned from my studies about political questions of autonomía and indigenous rights, as well as the exchanges I've had with Zapatista communities.
I can share what I have learned from organizing on campus as part of student movements in the University of California, Berkeley.
I can get you started on Spanish if you want, and on English as well.

I like juggling and martial arts, but I don't really know much about those activities :)
I am trying to learn french next year, that's one challenge I have ;)
