About Me

I was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, capital of Honduras. After college, I left my country for Philadelphia, PA where i've been living with my wife and cat for the past 4 years. Although, we love the big city scene of places like New york and Philly, I feel we are happiest when traveling, specially where we can surround ourselves by nature, animals or the ocean.
Starting March 2018, we will be backpacking through Southeast Asia for about 4 months and hope to experience all the beauty of India, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing in hope to meet great people as I travel. As an immigrant, I've learned that it is one thing to visit a place as a tourist, and another to know the social context and inside scoop of the locals and their culture. I am just as interested in this last thing as I am in exploring new places. I enjoy people, I enjoy listening to their stories and connecting with them, and I think the couchsurfing community is a great window for this.

Interests

Nature, the ocean, traveling and meeting people, taking pictures, spending time with all animals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Canopy at La Campa, Lempira (Honduras), the highest zipline in Central America.
- Traveled on different occasions to Costa Rica for an Iron Maiden concert and a Metallica concert; first time either bands played Central America.
- Volunteered at Build a Drum stand at Bonnaroo.
- Witnessed first hand the rise of the Honduran civil resistance during the coup d'etat of 2009.
- About to embark on a 4 to 5 month backpacking trip with my wife through southeast Asia.
