Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of couchsurfing because for me the most important aspect of any place is the people, and this platform allows to meet local people.

I got tired of mass tourism many years ago, and everything that moves around, or going to the typical lonely planet spots for example.

For me, knowing and interacting with local people allows you to really get close to the place and get to know it in a way that respects the environment, the culture and the local businesses outside of large corporations.
