About Me

My name is Fernando and I am 26 years old, that is the beginning...

I lived and raised in Spain until I was 22 years old where I finished my degree in Communication. Then something changed in my mind and I realised that the world is so small to stay just in one point of the globe. I started a trip that took me 9 months through north America and Asia. I came back to study a postgraduate related with the hospitality industry in Switzerland and now I am working in Vancouver.

So far I've lived in Spain, Poland, Switzerland Mexico. Currently settled down in Vancouver and I've travelled in many countries in the world.

I consider myself as a "Minimalist" it means that I try to have few things but enjoy them as much as I can. It applies as well for people, belongs, beliefs or activities.

TI am very curious about almost everything I see. I could surprise you with many random facts, since the most isolated island in the world, to the name of the 13th emperor of China :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I truly think in gratitude as a powerful tool. Helping without expecting nothing on exchange is the best way of helping
I believe that nowadays the kind of tourism that it used to exist is totally out-dated. Internet might be scary sometimes but it gives you the possibility to travel like it was impossible to be done years ago. To find people from everywhere who are willing to open the doors of their home and to show you the real essence of the country.

To try a real home-cooked meal, to understand the essence of the history of the country, to learn the rythms and dances that compose the folklore of a region... All of these examples are priceless for me.
