My name is Fernando and I am 33 years old, that is the beginning...

I lived and raised in Spain until I was 22 years old, when I finished my degree in Communication. Then something changed in my mind, and I realised that the world was too small to stay just in one point of the globe. I started a trip that took me nine months through North America and Asia. I came back to study for a postgraduate degree related to the hospitality industry in Switzerland and then I moved to Vancouver, Canada.

So far, I've lived in Spain, Poland, Switzerland, and Mexico, and I just left Vancouver to travel indefinitely.

I consider myself a "Minimalist" which means that I try to have few things but enjoy them as much as I can. It applies as well to people, belongings, beliefs or activities. I am so interested in meeting new people and discovering the way people live in different corners of the world. I love languages, nature, gastronomy, hiking, photo and video and making real connections with people.

I am starting a trip around the world with very little expectations, trying to get rid of judgments and bringing an open heart to give and live new experiences. I am starting to travel to Africa because of why not.

I truly think in gratitude as the most powerful tool. Helping without expecting anything on exchange is the best way to help others.

I believe that nowadays the kind of tourism that it used to exist is totally out-dated. Internet might be scary sometimes but it gives you the possibility to travel like it was impossible to be done years ago. To find people from everywhere who are willing to open the doors of their home and to show you the real essence of the country.

To try a real home-cooked meal, to understand the essence of the history of the country and its belief system, to learn the rythms and dances that compose the folklore of a region... All of these examples are priceless to me.

I believe that the cultural exchange moves this website. Besides that I'd love to share my culture. To show my gastronomy and traditions. I am very proud of being spanish although It is not my place to stay at this period of my life.
