About Me

Hello you! I'm Fernando, born and brewed Argentinian, originally from the vibrant city of Buenos Aires. It's been already a few years since I've decided to pack my things and move to this side of the world where life, destiny and some more wicked tales made my way to the beautiful city of Copenhagen, where I breath and live nowadays.

For the past years I've been working as a Web Developer, doing nerdy stuff with computers. Back home in Buenos Aires I studied arts and whenever I have free time I enjoy visiting all sort of artistic events and music festivals, so expect lots of that when you'll be surfing at my place.

I'm vegetarian and I really love cooking and creating/experimenting with flavours, I'll be glad to try and cook something together.

After spending some time around the world I understood that traveling is an essential part of my life, I honestly can't do it without travels. It nourishes my soul and feeds my curiosity like nothing else does. Meeting people that changed my life, discovering wonderful cities and nature, immersing in new cultures, this has been an endless source of adventures and life lessons to me, and it's just the beginning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has introduced me to some of the most amazing people that I've ever met in life. World travellers, some of them who have become very close friends of mine. Each experience has been different and special on its own and can't remember nothing but great fun. So far, I've surfed quite a lot and also attended a bunch of CS gatherings during my travels, and since I've moved to Europe I've been hosting travellers at my place as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to my playlists, some of the names you could find are: Björk, IAMX, Radiohead, Goldfrapp, Sigur Rós, The White Stripes, Massive Attack, Samaris, The Beatles, Blonde redhead, Morrissey, Fever Ray... the list is long (Björk in everything).

Some books that have recently brought inspiration to my life: Terre de homes, Tao te ching, Ringing Cedars of Russia, Siddhartha, The power of now, Bicycle Diaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A 7 months backpacking trip around Europe that marked a before and after in my life.

Bicycle trip adventure with my friend Cris. Poland, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia under our wheels.

Vineyards season in France, becoming one with the nature... and with the wine.

Spent one month working and representing Argentina in the art biennial of Sao Paulo.

To hold on to love and then let go. To move abroad without a plan... and succeed (and now even twice!).

Teach, Learn, Share

I play guitar, I can help you with that if you're starting and I'll be happy to share backpacker tips of the places I've visited. Spanish lessons, of course, and a guide of how to survive in Buenos Aires. We can share food recipes, because we love food. I can also show you around Copenhagen and the places I like the most in the city.
