ABOUT ME

Ivan - marathon/looong distance runner, love to do city marathons, uphill runs, ultratrails, the longer and further out in nature - the better. Not doing it for competition (except with myself). it's my life philosophy, plus - problems seem to be slower then me so I run away from them this way. Once or twice on really hard runs I felt like riding inside my body, I guess that's what drug addicts are after, but doing it this way beats the hell out of drugs! Running is actually very funny :) I climbed some high mountains, would love to see some volcanoes from close up. Happiest when in mountain.I enjoy seeing ancient city ruins, especially Greek and Romans.Marijana - forrest engineer, total nature/animal lover, adores dogs, loves travelling, enjoy tasting new kind of food and drinks. We travel together, me and my girl, so something about us: strictly non smokers, not much of a drinkers and party-animals, but we sure can try local booze ;) we like good music, animals, nature, all kind of cultural ... stuff. We walk a lot, that's our way of seeing places and cities, we do some mountaineering and always like to climb local heights for a good view and sport. We do sea- and whitewater-kayaking (soft version, nothing extreme). What we don't like is being around pushy people, without respect for others personality. What we do like is spending time with happy people who know what they live for, and who live what they like. About that, we can talk for hours. Two of us really enjoy new places, new culture, new people, new food -so, we are open for local guidings into this matters. We are not looking just for place to sleep, we would like to make friends in the place we visit. But those should be really special people.All things mentioned we also offer/show/share to people coming to Zagreb or Island Krk in Croatia.

PHILOSOPHY

We are easygoing, we want place to stay, and we'll respect our hosts as our friends. We expect the same from people staying with us

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending month and a half in Nepal, walking Annapurna circuit trail, after climbing high peaks of Annapurna range... best time of my life. I completely forgot about job, problems, past and future, I actually lived in present for a while. It woke me up. Might return there some time soon
