Hi! I have known about this platform for a while but decided to explore it further only recently. I am fascinated by experiencing life through travels, stories and perspectives. I am a mother of a teenager, and stumbling upon free (me-) time only in the last year or so. I am an extremely empathetic individual, and live life with compassion and respect, this has been engraved in me at a pre-genetic level if that makes sense. Moving to United States from Pakistan in my late teens, I have been blessed in experiencing very different cultures, and therefore adept at finding authentic and meaningful common connections in the beautiful melody of life ensemble. I get excited about a plethora of topics, activities and things! I love cycling and rock climbing! As well hikes on difficult terrains, long walks, sculptures, drawings, woodworking, music, food and impromptu travel plans!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find and appreciate people, community and perspectives in world. I think traveling this way create opportunity for enriching profound experience, like reading a passage from a random book, I have found it to be formative in reflecting, identifying and updating my value system with each interaction and travel experience. Oh, and I love to travel solo! It's just incomparably better. I love being home at my cozy apartment in the energetic zen that is born out of the beautiful myriad of human vicinage or melting pot called Brooklyn, NY.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learnt how to bike in 40's and LOVE IT! Also started playing drums (as sing at the same time)!! I know its hard :-)

Anything that is authentic and specific to your local area. I don't care about grandiose, but find value in most normal daily things. I also don't expect anything at all and can be a way on the fly crashing during rest hours only! I am 100% respectful of your home, space and time!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an amazing authentic Pakistani cuisine cook and would love to teach a thing or two! I can draw and sketch pretty well, also able to teach Urdu, and Pakistani songs. Which has many fabulous local/folk genres.
