ABOUT ME

I earned my MA in TransAtlantic Studies at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. My BA was from Columbia College Chicago. The current job is teaching English & Literacy to refugees (mainly from Burma), though I still tinker around in a projection booth for a huge cinema chain.

PHILOSOPHY

Everybody's got a story to tell, I try to listen for it.

Also, I always try to stop at lemonade stands.

Never surfed or hosted... but I've met up for coffee/drinks. Thus far, all have been good experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Chances are, if it was produced in Hollywood in the past 15 years, I've either seen it theatrically or projected it at a cinema (or, both). Go ahead, quiz me - I'll even tell you which cinema I saw it in / projected it at. If (on your first guess) you can come up with a wide release* since 1997 that I haven't either seen or projected, I'll give you a shiny new quarter when we meet (or, if I don't have any change in my pocket, I guess I'll buy you a beer).

*by "wide release" I mean that it played in at least 500 screens in North America

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Earning my MA abroad was pretty amazing. As for specifics, it's tough to pick one or two to list here, so ... we can discuss when we meet.
