About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm working as a musician in classical orchestras but I am looking for a permanent job in just one orchestra. This is not so easy, so I travel around a lot. I've seen many cities and old friends the last years. But in some cities I do not have connections, so I'll ask YOU for a place to stay :-)

ABOUT ME

I love to meet people of all cultures and learn from them. I like to speak foreign languages (although I don't speak perfectly at all!!!) and to help other people with the German language. At my music university we had more than 50% students from all over the world. That was very exciting!!!

I shared my last flat with 11 other flat mates, so I am used to get along with a lot of people. But I enjoyed it that there were always somebody for cooking, doing sports or just talking.

I'm musically - of course, that is my profession!!! My instrument is the viola. But I'm also interested in a lot of other things, like sports and cooking and baking. My chocolate blueberry muffins are the best :-)
I also studied history of Art at the university of Freiburg for one year. I love the fine Arts and I liked to do something different to my musical projects. When I moved to Cologne 3 years ago, my interest was to enter a football team. My team just succeded to move to a higher league, so we meet 3 times a week for training.

I have one brother and one sister who are elder than me. It is a great occupation to take care of my 3 nephews and my niece. They are sooooo lovely and I would like to be the best aunt ever! So, if you have children, I would love it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have no possibility to host somebody because my flatmates wouldn't allow it. They don't have so much experiences with travelling and meeting people from all over the world. But as soon as I would have a flat on my own, I'll be able to offer a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a beginner, so I surfed just a few times.

Interests

music, different cultures and languages, people, sports (swimming, jogging, football, biking), books, films (all sorts of love stories, but also some crazy and independent films), ancient buildings and fine arts....

...the life is too short for all these interesting things!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love books!!! I read books just for amusement as well as classical authors. I like to have a good balance.

As my job is beeing violist, I like classical music. But I like other music too. Especially in the kitchen, on the road and while cleaning up I turn on the radio. Please do not ask me which song and which band. I've never could remember names of songs and artists!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling through Iceland: a lot of hiking with big backpack and meeting funny and interesting people during my hitchhiking experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Very often I bring my instrument with me when I'm travelling. So I can offer a house concert if you like to listen to it.
If not, I love to cook for you!
