ABOUT ME

I enjoy meeting friends and laughing with them, coming up with megalomaniac ideas like starting up a kingdom. Some of our not so megalomaniac ideas have become reality, and we did set up a public bookshelf in Munich (which was cleared by municipal workers the next day).

Good food is important, too. So far, I have only encountered one ingredient that I absolutely cannot stand: cilantro. Other than that - great food is great!

I like to do sports, especially outdoors sports. After having tried all kinds of sports, I have come to the conclusion that my personal best fits are hiking, running, Yoga and swimming. But I am always open to try new things like - erm archery!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once upon a time I was traveling by myself and I met Claire who offered me a couch at her mum's house. We chatted all day and had a beer in the local pub where a band was playing nostalgic Johnny Cash covers. It was a tiny town where you could only get taking a bus - I would have never gotten there.

The music I listen to is as diverse as the situations in which I listen to music. Some situations call for an easy background sound, others are moments where listening to the music is at the center and still others have to be a tribute to dancing. "Only lovers left alive" by Jim Jarmusch is my current movie recommendation - it's a movie about vampires in today's society and the perspective on our society that a 400 years old creature could have.

Of the internationally known literature I have read, I really liked "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn".
