Hello! My name is Mick. I am 23 years old and I was born in Luxembourg.
I have spent the 19 first years of my life in Luxembourg, where I went to school and finished high school.
After that, I started studying 'International Business Administration' in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. I just finished bachelors and am currently doing a minor in Finance. Since my minor only starts next semester I am currently travelling through Portugal. I am not 100% sure yet where my travels will lead me, but I want to visit Porto and Lisbon for sure and probably visit some other cities inbetween.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing, because, after meeting all the amazing people of the couchsurfing community in north america, there is no reason to not couchsurf again. Being from Luxembourg (a very small and multicultural country), I am very interested in meeting locals who can share their insights with me and help me to experience and understand the culture as good as possible.
Furthermore, since my plans are not completely fixed, I would be very glad to get some tips from locals on where I should travel and which parts I should not miss during my travel. My goals for solo travelling in general: to experience my own limits and get to know myself better, to meet and chat with as much locals as possible as well as with people coming from all over the world, and, to see beautiful places normally only known to locals and not tourists.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books that inspired me a lot are, for example, 'The big five of life' and 'Homo Faber'
I normally don't watch that much series, but the ones that I really liked, and that I would count as my favourites are 'Black Mirror' and 'Ozark' .

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very open-minded person, enjoying to get to know other viewpoints, cultures, and different people in general. One of my favourite things to do is to chill out with some friends with a cold beer and talk for hours about random topics. Even though I Iike to go out and enjoy dancing to some techno music, I won't be in party mode 24/7 (I like sleeping as well).
There are only 500.000 people living in Luxembourg, how cool would it be to get to know one of these rarities? :p
