About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovery, adventure, etc.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories and learning about the wide and varied origins we all share. I have itchy feet.

Natural and healthy foods are a key part of my life. I work at a Natural Foods Co-Op and love to eat fresh local goodies.

Biking is my transportation/exercise/ entertainment of choice :)

PHILOSOPHY

Seek what you do not understand.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is a great idea. I'm so glad it's working and people are using it. I have yet to really participate, but I am looking forward to that day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: anything well-played, I can appreciate. Depeche Mode and Tom Waits are a couple of my favorites.

Movies: The Fall, The Fountain, anything by Baz Luhrman, and anything with a score by Alexandre Desplat or Clint Mansell.

Books: All kinds! I usually read fiction or biographies. Most recently, I have read books by Amy Tan and Rudolfo Anaya, Dave Eggers, and Jonathan Safran Foer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving, 25-hour bus rides, walking without a destination, bicycle trips, cross country drives in 40-year old muscle cars, busking with a ukelele and kazoo on the streets of Dublin, sleeping on the floor of a straw hut in outside Pemba, planning a volunteer service day with 2,500 volunteers, being on foodstamps, meeting people with my birthday, reuiniting with childhood friends, getting my hair braided by a Mozambican girl, standing in one place for a day, dressing up as a bunny to be a human paintball target.
