About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn and master the german language and travel throughout Europe.

ABOUT ME

I'm learning German, so I'd like to host german speakers (native and DaF alike).

Ich lerne Deutsch, deswegen beherberge ich gern deutschsprachige Leute.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think I have one yet...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just love the idea behind this project. Nothing is more interesting for me, than, when travelling, to be able to see and experience life as one of that place's natives, instead of being simply a tourist.

And I can't imagine this being possible without services of exchanged hospitality like this one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted Luca, an very nice italian medical student from Bologna.

Interests

I enjoy listening to music, learning about new gadgets and technology, and, above all, travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen mainly to classic rock, indie rock and some blues. My favourite bands are: The Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Smiths, Oasis, Dire Straits, Libertines, Babyshambles, etc. I usually avoid the music from nowadays, with some exceptions.

I am somewhat eccletic about my interest in movies, the only genre I don't fancy is probably suspense/horror, but again Kubrick's Shinning is one my favourite movies...

I like the spaghetti westerns from Sergio Leone (notably The Good, The Bad and The Ugly), Acopalypse Now, The Godfather trilogy, Fight Club (greatest film ever, probably). I like an ocasional blockbuster, but still I enjoy the non-commercial/alternative cinema from non-mainstream venues here in Belém.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've visited two of the greatest cities in the world (NYC and London) and I was really surprised about the levels of social and human development there.

I've visited museums that tell not only the history of humankind, but also of our planet and the universe itself.

On the other hand, living in a country like Brazil, I've seen poverty in a level most people wouldn't believe, and I can't really understand how people manage to survive in such adverse conditions.

(This last one is more like remarkable, not really amazing, by any means...)

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, United Kingdom, United States
