About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To never regret anything and to achieve as many things as possible on my bucket list.

ABOUT ME

I'm an obsessive compulsive list maker so I will make a list of three things that is a part of me:

* I absolutely adore christmas. If our roads ever cross anytime between september and december, this will probably come to your attention. Fear not, you're not the only one thinking that it is weird.

* I am working as a psychologist and doing the whole 9-5 thing, but every so often I get a strong urge to either become a full-time traveller just going to interesting places and concerts and living the dream or alternatively starting up a little guesthouse in a pretty place somewhere where there are lots of comfy sofas and a lot of good cakes. I do like cake a lot and I'm more then willing to bake either has a guest or host.

* I love to play board games! Or cards. Or any game really. I also like the trash talk, the taking the game too seriously and the instant "us and them"-feeling you get by randomly dividing people into two teams. Always up to play!

I may also talk too much. I guess it is a judgment call. So far I'm the only one questioning the "too much"-part.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to say yes to as much as I can in life. I want to try everything at least once and don't think anything can be dismissed until tried (well, within a reasonable limit).

It may sounds like a cliché but I am also a firm believer in general peace, love and understanding. I think that if people were to realize that everybody has something beautiful within them and that differences between people are what makes us interesting and unique and that these differences are to be embraced, the world would be such a better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have only surfed a couple of people's couches but experience has been absolutely great. I am astounded by the kindness of people around the world and can't wait for it to be my turn to host someone in my home and show them around my turf.

Interests

Baking, yoga, people watching, playing boardgames, scuba diving, making bracelets, meditating, go for walks and listen to podcasts, throwing a frisbee around, listen to Hit the Road Jack whilst driving and of course: Travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to basically everything. maybe not country. Random bands that you will find in my collection; Elliott Smith, Smashing Pumpkins, Belle and Sebastian, 2manydj's, Fatboy Slim, Bob Dylan, Placebo, Dandy Warhols, Morcheeba. Let's put it this way, I love chilling in a hammock to the tunes of Jack Johnson as well as rocking it to concerts and spend all night long on the dance floor. I'm flexible.

I love movies. Well who doesn't. But I watch a lot of it. I enjoy everything from lovely stupid comedies like Elf, Madagascar and Zoolander to cute movies like Little Miss Sunshine, Juno and 500 days of summer as well as scary movies like Shining, Psycho and Nightmare on Elm Street or just all-time favorites like Donnie Darko, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Pulp Fiction.

In terms of books, i don't have time to read as much as I would like but I really do read whatever that crosses my path. Lately I've been going through some classics like The great gatsby and catcher in the rye and been quite hooked.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I still get chills down my spine when I think about bungeejumping in Queenstown, New Zealand. Best feeling ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you random swedish/danish phrases if you don't have that knowledge already. I also tend to introduce people to good swedish music, whether they want it or not. there is more out there than Abba and Ace of Base!

In terms of learning, anything I did not know before is always welcomed! Give it a try =)
