Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always loved travelling. My dad took me many places in my childhood, and his stories of backpacking in his youth and his adventures in his late adulthood have all inspired me to try it out for myself for once. So, this is me embarking on my own!

Interests

I have a very broad interest in all things. I enjoy everything from metal music to classical, from horror films to period dramas, from Batman comics to Virginia Woolf. I love doing theatre, writing, making short films, and anything creative that catches my fancy. And I'm always interested in trying new things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a firm believer in being spontaneous. The last few times I made drastic decisions, the following things have happened, amongst others:
I made a shortfilm for a youth film festival and won two awards.
I cut my long hair short (several times) because I felt like it.
I went to Japan on a whim and fell in love with my travel partner.
I applied to study English literature at Cambridge University and got in.
I took a six month course in theatre, followed by another course in contemporary circus the year after, without ever having tried either.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a passion for languages, and I'm always eager to learn more. I hope to become fluent in French and maybe German, and I'm very intrigued by Japanese and Bosnian. I can teach some Danish and English, and some basic French.
