About Me
ABOUT ME
There are differences between tourists and travelers. A tourist will snap pictures, go on bus tours, and never leave their comfort zone. A traveler will use public transport, chat with the person sitting next to him, make friends, and have a drink with that person at his favorite dirty pub. I am the latter and I hope you are too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host whenever I'm able. I love to show people the interesting hidden things in/around the places I live. In my opinion getting to know the people who are selling you the food/souvenirs/tickets to the tourist traps will be more interesting than snapping some photos so you have an excuse to say you've "been" somewhere. I like to give every surfer a chance to experience a culture from the inside out as opposed to the outside in. Thus, I am very unwilling to host people who just want to take pictures and do touristy things.
Interests
I love comic books, more music than I care to mention, tattoos, DIY, bikes, rescued animals, going to shows, meeting friendly people like you, drawing, fantasy novels, video games, cult movies, playing the accordion, going to Pubs/Bars I've never been to and cooking bomb-ass vegetarian/vegan food. At the moment I am running my own craft beer tour start-up company. www.BerlinCraftBeerExperience.com

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was almost swept out to sea while surfing in California. By the time the coast guard got to me I had beaten the current and made back it to shore. I ripped some muscles in my arms and couldn't so much as lift a fork for days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some video editing, basic accordion skills, bike repair/maintence, vegan/vegi cooking, English as a second language, and beer brewing.
