Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life to the fullest, share my experiences with others, be a good human being
ABOUT ME
I don't get to travel much, but I'd like to travel a lot more. Music is one of my passions in life, though I'm not a musician, I love listening to all kinds of music. As a music lover, I enjoy going to as many concerts as I can. I'm a huge Chicago Bears fan, and I enjoy rooting for other Chicago sports teams as well.
PHILOSOPHY
Mostly follow the Golden Rule...Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to surf on some couches until I graduate school and am able to share my couch with others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None on couchsurfing.com so far, though I have extensive experience surfing on friends' couches. I will be visiting Yosemite, San Francisco, and Arizona in August. During the trip I will stay with a friend and couch surf for the first time!
Interests
I enjoy helping others as much as I can. Helping other people allows me to get outside of myself and focus on the needs of those who are less fortunate than I am. I've had an eventful life and I enjoy spending time talking about life experiences with other people. I'm a huge sports fan, but I'm an even bigger music fan!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I enjoy comedies a lot (Big Lebowski, Hangover, Tommy Boy, etc.), but I also enjoy thought provoking movies.
Music: I absolutely LOVE music!!!! Some of my favorite artists are Bon Iver, Radiohead, M83, City & Colour, Deadmau5, Deer Tick, Frightened Rabbit, Mumford & Sons, The National, Band of Horses, The Black Keys, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, etc. etc. etc. I love seeing live music as well. Lollapalooza is my favorite music festival, and I loved going from 2008-2011.
Books: anything that's informative and interesting
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the look on my grandmother's face when I gave her ice skates for Christmas. She'd always dreamed of getting ice skates as a child, but her family could never afford them. Though she could not use them due to poor health, it meant a lot to her. Sounds cheesy, but it left me awestruck at the power of helping another person.
Seeing the stars as well as a good sunset/sunrise makes me feel awestruck as well. Being able to see something so beautiful is incredible and it makes me feel so insignificant, yet a part of something so amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think overcoming adversity is one of the things that I can share, as well as forgiving others. I was nearly killed in a car accident, and after that I got screwed by some negligent doctors along the way. But I've learned from it and I hope I can help others through my experiences.
