ABOUT ME
I signed up to couchsurfing a good while ago, but didn't really start participating until the summer of 2010. My now-husband had been traveling around the states that summer and we had met when he stayed on my couch on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. We set off on a road trip around New England, staying with many great hosts that all really made the trip a success. When I got back to Asheville, NC, I started hosting and meeting up with other hosts in the area - I was hooked!
Tom and I have been traveling around a bit for the last year, living at Earthaven Ecovillage near the beginning of 2011, then an organic farm south of Siler City for the rest of last year and then on to Bristol, UK or the 8 months after our wedding, waiting it out for Tom's visa. Now we're back in NC and plan to be settled here in the Triangle for several years. We're excited to get in touch with the local CS community and to host some travelers.
PHILOSOPHY
Have fun and make a celebration out of everything!
