Helloo! Hola! You can call me Figen or Figo. The first thing I could say about me is that I am full of life energy. I'm living the life reversed. That is, I'm now doing things what the majority would do in their 20s. I went to university after giving birth to my daughter, then I went to England and South Africa to learn English.

I am retired now, and since a few months I've been living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. graduated recently from bachelor, now I'm in England to learn English! :)

I love travelling and cooking. I'm really allocating a big portion of my resources to my trips. When it comes to cooking, just even strolling through every single supermarket and little grocery stores to source the best ingredients makes me the happiest person on earth!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I'm a traveler beast. My friends and my family did everything they could for me to settle down in one location but I don't seem to get enough of seeing, and breathing the world.

I love having conversations and making social connections. To me, the world is so small and we are all same when we smile at each other.

So when you combine these two, I thought Couchsurfing is a platform I should be in :)

I did my first couchsurfing in Portugal in 2017, and later in England and in Ireland. I unfortunately couldn't host anyone until now, as I'm moving from home to home quite often. But now we have a little apartment in Buenos Aires with a couch that we can offer. Looking forward to hosting our first couchsurfer.

On January 2024, I've embarked my journey in South America! Took the ferry from Buenos Aires to Uruguay. Then I was in Brazil and Chile. Upcoming: Bolivia!
