Overview
About Me
Born and raised in the bay area, I have found myself in Champaign, IL, moved out here for a software job of all things to leave the bay area for. I love running, mountain biking, cycling, and cooking. I enjoy sharing food, chatting over a bottle of wine or some beer and excellent coffee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only had amazing couchsurfing experiences. Most of which have not been through the website but through friends of friends who have sent me to stay with other friends. Being a tourist 100% of the time can become exhausting and sometimes you need a friend to bring you back down to earth where real people live. I always enjoy meeting new people and going to local sites and outings.
I believe Couchsurfing is a great way to learn and experience different cultures. There is everything to gain and nothing to lose by staying with new friends vs a hostel; its free, you meet great people, you can get a more local experience and still have time to be a tourist.
