About Me

SORRY IN ADVANCE, IF I DON'T GET BACK TO YOU IN TIME - I'M EXTREMELY BUSY WITH UNI AND WORK AND BARELY EVER HAVE TIME TO CHECK COUCHSURFING. BUT I'M HAPPY TO HOST AND SHOW YOU AROUND TOWN WHENEVER I HAVE TIME!

*I'M GENERALLY WORKING WEEKENDS, SO I'M MORE LIKELY TO BE ABLE TO HOST DURING THE WEEK*

I'm a 21-year-old business student studying in Edinburgh. I studied and graduated from IB diploma programme in 2016 and moved to Australia to spend the greatest gap year ever - these are the reasons why I have friends from multiple different cultures and backgrounds and wish to make more through couchsurfing!

I think everything in life happens for a reason, there's at least the smallest light in every darkness, and eventually you'll see why things went certain way. All the decisions I've made and all the things that have happened to me have made me who I am today - I'm not ready as no one will ever be, but I'm certainly growing to the direction I wanna go as a human being. I want to stay curious and keep exploring, maintain an open-mind, and appreciate all the small, simple things in life that make it worth of living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to know new, interesting people, have meaningful conversations, learn about the world, and make friends.

My philosophy is that all the travelers are one big family and family looks after each other. I wanna contribute towards that, share my knowledge and whatever I can give - was it then bringing a bottle of wine or helping you to clean your windows while I'm crashing on your couch. I understand hosting travelers will take time and effort and I appreciate it, and I'm not just looking for a free place to sleep even though my budget isn't huge. Couchsurfing should be more about sharing our stories, broadening our views, and getting an insight to the place you're visiting.

Interests

I'm the women's captain for our uni's ultimate frisbee team, and I love sports! I enjoy reading, meeting new people, having pint in a pub, and generally having a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and listen to pretty much anything, but rock and metal are closest to my heart. I know how to play piano and love to sing even though I'm pretty bad at it! I barely have time to read books anymore but I love them. Same goes for watching movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking for 5 months in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of the Nordic countries - I love my home and I'm happy to tell you all about Finland. I can share all the best travelling tips as I've travelled extensively in, Europe, Asia, Oceania... I can teach you a few words of Finnish!

I love cooking, so I would be happy to cook and enjoy the dinner with a glass of white wine (or red if you prefer so - I still haven't learnt to drink red wines though but maybe you could try to introduce me to their world).

I love discussing about anything and love to have a proper conversation about any topic!
