About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find a [new] way of living
ABOUT ME
A former medical doctor/teacher now engaged in IT and free-lance translation.
Due to my teaching past I probably talk more than I do listen, but now I'm trying to keep balance in that field. :) I do enjoy good company, but I'm never bored even when there's nobody around.
I drink occasionally, and I don't smoke.
PHILOSOPHY
People who lived in the past and who live now do make this world a great place. There are so many things to understand, so many ideas to grasp, one can never stop exploring. It's such a great thing, to be alive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I'm keeping an eye on local “Chelyabinsk” group in CS, so may be I could answer your question there or even hook up with you for a walk somewhere in the city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first use of CS dates back to 2011, and since then it has been wonderful. Unfortunately, I cannot host anybody in my home city, so I use CS only when I travel, and it truly enriches my travel experience. I've met many wonderful people through CS.
Interests
I am excited about foreign languages and cultures. I like to meet new people, see new places and read new books. I enjoy learning, listening to music, dancing tango & salsa. I'm interested in biological science in general and medical applications in particular, with special focus on pharmacology and bioinformatics (but I've been far from the bench for a considerable time, so I'm probably not up-to-date in either one).

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list here, but not many enough to be proud of.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my studies in medical school, I have seen babies being delivered to this world. Although the process is pretty simple, each time it gave me shivers to watch the new life being born.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you something about how Russian language works and compare it to English/French/Italian whatever. Of course, I'd love to dance tango or salsa with you or just tell you something about these wonderful social dances. Feel free to ask me questions, I'll answer if I can.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United States
