About Me

Hello ! I'm Filip, I live in Kędzierzyn- Koźle, in southern Poland. This spring I'll be passing my matura (school leaving) exams. Then I'm starting my summer holidays, actually the longest yet ! At the time I would like to travel somewhere on my own using couchsurfing. Unfortunately, at the moment I can't guest hosts, but I'll enjoy showing you some places in Poland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It gives great possibilities to meet new people. Living with locals and feeling like an inhabitant of one place just for a while is an amazing experience. Last summer I lived and worked for two months in France. It let me to discover this country again, from a different perspective.

Interests

My probably biggest hobby is travelling. I have liked it since I was a little boy. Experiencing new cultures, sights, cuisines and meeting new people makes me happy.

I really like cooking. I make mostly Polish and Italian typical dishes but sometimes I like to experiment a bit.

My other interest is music. Listening to great songs or discovering new artists - it's something I can do all the time. I also play the piano, but recently have no time for practising.

I'm also interested in art. I find it really inspiring to watch paintings ( especially the impressionist ones) and unconventional architectural wonders.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - It's difficult for me to choose one favourite genre - I listen mostly to classic rock, jazz and folk music. My favorite artists are Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, John Coltrane, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Kate Bush.

Books- The Master and Margarita, Millenium, Da Vinci Code, Agatha Christie's crime stories and many travel diaries...

Movies - I don't have a favorite one. I enjoy many genres from psychological dramas to light comedy movies.
