About Me
Hi travelers, my name is Filip. I was born and raised in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Well, technically, I was born in Yugoslavia. It was once a proud country with the great motto "Brotherhood and Unity," later destroyed by a "divide and conquer" strategy.
A few things about me:
*This is kinda my first social network, since I’m a bit of an introvert.
*My nationality: Cosmopolitan, a citizen of the world.
*Atheist/agnostic, sorry, but I usually can’t connect deeply with religious people. In every game I’ve ever played, there were clear rules and instructions, but God forgot to include a manual for the hardest game of all, life.
*I’ve been drug, alcohol, and smoking free my whole life by choice. If you’re heavily into those things, it’s probably better to skip me as a host.
*My drink of choice is water. My favorite food would be any kind of meat, but for moral reasons I’m vegetarian.
*Deep into supplementation, healthy meals, biohacking and hypertrophy training.
*Pawrent of: Masha, Nala, Pumba, Pinky and Dora.
*This life hasn’t turned out quite the way I wanted. Still, it would be cool to live into the next century, just to see the advancement of our civilization. And maybe, just maybe, fingers crossed, to witness the first contact with an alien civilization. Hope they are vegan. Sorry plants.

I can offer various activities, such as:
*A ride through the city on one of my motorcycles. Don’t worry, I’m a safe driver with years of experience.
*Gym training with me. Value the one who invites you to work out, anyone can invite you for a party or a drink, but only a few push you to become your best version.
*Movie night, either in my apartment or at the cinema.
*A healthy dinner, cooked at home or in a restaurant.
*PS5 gaming night in the apartment.
*Long city walks.
*A camping trip, tents, one night in nature.
*Hiking.
*A one-day trip to the Croatian coastline.
*Additionally, my family offers clean, comfortable apartments in Mostar for both short and long-term stays. If you’d like a full 2 person apartment for yourself, the price is €25–30 per day, all inclusive (electricity, water, Wi-Fi, and a parking space).
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movies? So hard to pick. The IMDb Top 250 is a pretty solid list, I’ve watched every one of them.
Favorite music? Even harder to pick. I enjoy timeless classics and anthology hit songs from any genre, as long as they have powerful lyrics.
Favorite books? Crime and Punishment, Germinal, The Count of Monte Cristo, War of the Buttons, Winnetou, The Paul Street Boys...

An Extra Coffee Cup
song by Zabranjeno Pusenje
Sixty-nine,
my old man and I on bicycles,
heading toward Ilidža, along rivers and meadows,
where the Sarajevo crowd holds picnics.
Blankets, brewery beer, barbecue and volleyball,
everything colorful like a woven carpet,
on the radio Plima by Indexi plays,
and the news comes from Vietnam.
And my old man said then,
you see, here everyone knows,
politics is a simple thing:
when you make coffee, you leave an extra cup,
in case someone drops by —
hell, that’s just how it is here,
everyone knows that.
Eighty-four, snow fell, (Sarajevo hosted winter Olympic games)
and the whole world gathered,
skis on shoulders, sleds in hands,
off to the valley of paradise.
And my old man said then,
you see, now the whole world knows
that there is a city
where coffee is made and an extra cup is left,
in case someone drops by —
hell, that’s just how it is here,
everyone knows that.
Spring of ninety-two, (war, the Breakup of Yugoslavia, 1990–1992)
red-hot steel explodes,
shattering neighborhoods and celebrations,
they say everything until now was lies and deception,
a Ustaša–jihad conspiracy,
and the fuse is lit.
And my old man said then,
while cleaning the ruins,
I don’t regret the yellow Yugo (car), nor the apartment,
but this —
that I will never again, when I make coffee,
leave an extra cup,
in case someone drops by .

Westerners, do you know what it means to make one more cup of coffee than you need?
Yugoslavs do.
That extra cup is poured in advance, just in case someone knocks, passes by, or arrives unannounced.
Yugoslavia was the closest thing we ever had to a utopia.
Muslims, Serbs, Croats, Jews, atheists all drank the same coffee.
On that extra cup there was no name written.
No religion.
No nationality.
The most devastating moment comes near the end:
"And my old man said then,
while cleaning the ruins,
I don’t regret the yellow car, nor the apartment,
but this —
that I will never again, when I make coffee,
leave an extra cup,
in case someone drops by."
