About Me

30 year old tech enthusiast from New York City looking for a break from the norm and traveling the world for the next 7 months. I'm originally from South Carolina but my parents are Polish and moved to the states in 1981.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived and worked in NYC for 8 years busting my ass at tech company and decided it was time to take a break from things and explore the globe a little bit. I prefer couchsurfing because its a great way to meet locals, experience the culture in a more authentic way and more importantly, making new friends.

Interests

I think most of my friends will describe my top three interests as Technology, Swimming and Motorcycles.

I've always been heavily interested in technology growing up as a kid. Either it be gadgets, building computers, or tinkering around with photography and videography.

In terms of competitive swimming, I mainly use it as a way to stay in shape these days. I have been a swimmer since I was 12 years old and still compete to this day on a Masters swim club in New York City. I recently placed 9th in 100 meters breast stroke at 2016 Nationals for my age group.

I'm a huge adrenaline junkie, hence riding motorcycles. I've owned mostly Ducati's since I was 16 years old, but love all sort of make and models of bikes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Tame Impala, Ratatat, Converge, Deftones, Aphex Twin, Kendrick Lamar, Jamie XX, Baroness, Flying Lotus, Battles

Books - The Road, Old Man and The Sea, Motorcycle Diaries, World War Z

Movies - Dumb and Dumber, Inglorious Basterds, Rounders

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job to travel without having a plan in mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being that I'm a huge geek, I can help with any computer problems you might be experiencing or if you need setup with anything electronic related.

If you're looking to improve form on your swimming technique, I'd be more than happy to assist there as I used to coach a swim team of 140 kids ages 8 to 18.

Also, I love playing dice and card games. Would love to teach as well as learn new games from others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun, love, respect, and teaching gambling games with dice
