About Me

2022

Lisboner, Digital Nomad.
Currently roaming Andalucía.

Fast forward to 2020 -

After all that madness and after meeting a special soul in one of my trips who led me to completely deconstruct my life and my sense of self. Now I'm living one day after another in a ongoing search for a life purpose, a sense of home, and love, kindness and compassion within my heart.

Freed myself from my own self.

Living and learning.

Valuable references throughout this journey:

Taoism
Alan Watts
Stoicism
Alain de Botton
Gary Zukav
Oprah Winfrey
Eckhart Tolle

Working on:

Practice of kindness, compassion and lovability, yoga, healthy living.

Pillars:

Art, Music, Dance

If you still want to read my slightly more hype and less developed early 2018 self read below:

Hey hey, I'm Filipa :D
Life is a journey, and mine has been a bit of a crazy one.
People who get to know me always find impressive the amount of subjects I got to study so far and at such a young age.
I think "you win some, you lose some".
That knowledge came with a price, and that price was inner peace.
So after a life time of studying a bunch of things and actually not learning much, being an adrenaline addict and consequently an anxious mess, I decided put a break. I quit following through the master's I was planning to take and now I am focused mainly on my artistic studies.
This has allowed me to have something I had been missing for so many years: Time to contemplate.
So now I've been trying to travel more, meet like minded, open people, and get to know a bit better who I am, be at peace and have gratitude.
I would say I am on my spiritual journey. But if we meet we can eventually talk a bit more about that :)

Other than that bit of my life's journey you just got to know :) , I enjoy learning (in smaller doses now, learning my limits :P ) , especially foreign languages. I love staying active and that to me comes mainly through yoga, dancing and swimming. I really love travelling even though I feel I'm just get started, meeting new people with whom I can share view points and experiences and practicing /learning their languages!.
I follow mainly a plant-based diet and I'm really keen on overall vegan lifestyle.

I also enjoy going out to dance ( a lot!) or to a good concert!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now I'm mostly focused on meeting new people and this place is full of interesting ones! They say you attract not what you want but who you are... I think I've been attracting I would say at least who I want to become!! This also helps me finding a place to stay, I might be able to host depending on which days of the week :)

Interests

As I said I really enjoy staying active and my favourite activities are: Yoga, pilates, swimming and dancing.
As a dancer and a musician I have a green card to play that stereotype of the crazy artistic person :P So I love love love dancing , just give me some good music and I'll burst into this firey ball of dancing madness!
And, when I'm not being crazy, I like to read, have a good chat, and grab a coffee and toasts with friends!
