About Me

Hello! I’m a 23 year old Portuguese girl 🙋🏽‍♀️🇵🇹 I’m from Póvoa de Varzim, a city very close to Oporto. My parents bought a motorhome when I was 6 or so and most of my childhood memories are from camping trips. We didn’t visit a lot of countries but got to visit most of the cities in a country. There’s almost no place in Portugal that I didn’t visit when I was a child (some of them I don’t remember 😅) and we visit a lot of places in Spain. The biggest trip we did was to Italy (Veneza) and it was full of adventures (like our motorhome broke down, how hard it was to find someone that could speak in Spanish, English or French so that we could find a mechanic, 5 adults 2 children and a dog sleeping in a motorhome for 4 😂 and so on....).

After finishing high school I entered in a college in Évora to study med vet and after 3 years studying in the same place, a friend of mine & I thought about doing ERASMUS in a country way different from ours (Slovakia), for a so needed change of scenery.
When we came back to Portugal to celebrate Christmas with our families we got “trapped” in here, from that date till the end of the school year we couldn’t come back to Slovakia and we’re obligated to do everything online.
Since we didn’t get to experience everything that it is supposed to experience when doing erasmus (like traveling and meeting new people), me and a friend of mine (Maria) are planning to do an interrail for the next two months.
Our main goals is to visit as many countries as we can and more importantly, we want to get to know a lot of new people with such different backgrounds in every countries we visit.
After talking to a friend who travels a lot and did CS for several years, I put all my fears aside and convinced my parents to try this platform since it has the same values as I have.
I’m open to new ideas since I new at this 🤗

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just got to know this platform throw an old friend of mine since I intend to do an interrail this summer and asked her for advices.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I danced in an academy for most of my childhood I love music in general! But a year ago I became obsessed Billie Eilish albums, Finneas, Ashe, Harry Styles and some Portuguese artist.
I like romantic novels! I read almost all of the Dorothy Koomson books and of course the basic Nicholas sparks ahahah.
Now I’m totally aware that I spend way more time watching TV shows than reading. If I would ever make a list of all the ones I saw I would scare myself ahah. Some of them are: Grey’s Anatomy, Handmaid’s Tale, This is Us, The Originals (way better than TVD ahahah), Dickinson (since I love Billie Eilish it was super predictable), How to get away with murder, Big little lies, Killing Eve and I think I should stop now 😂

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy having good conversations with everyone. When I know nothing about a certain topic I love to absorb the information and get to know new points of view.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share Portuguese recipes (my country is known by good food and sun ☀️) and homecooked meals. If you have pets we can share veterinary knowledge (even though I still don’t have my degree, if I have any knowledge in the area you need help I’ll share).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Portugal, Slovakia
