About Me

Hey everyone! I am an Italian researcher in Physics working in Paris. I never understood why I moved to paris, but once I got there It seduced me and I stayed. My interests do not end with science: I am an amateur pianist ( and hammond player ) and I'm extremely passionate about music. I'm a blues lover and funk afficionado. I'm also an avid reader both of modern literature (last favourite is Money, by Martin Amis) and of graphic novels ("Rasl" anyone?).

I am a very talkative person, and enjoy spending eveenings by hearing to the stories of newly meeted persons. In particoular, I love how many people from all over the world you can meet randomly in Venice just by walking around, and I often go spend the night there to chat with strangers. I think that I am an easy-going person: having many interests allows me to (almost) always find a common theme to talk about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some time ago a friend organised an holiday with the aid of couchsurfing and it went great. Now I'm planning to do so by myself.
Moreover, I often ( a weekend a month) go to a small family apartment in Venice. I would enjoy hosting and showing around some newly met people in exchange of a pleasant weekend.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a very hard question, because I have so many. Especially in music my taste ranges very wildly from Emerson Lake and Palmer to contemporary jazz artist Atomic. All time favourites are Gregory Porter and Snarky Puppy, along with Sharrie Williams, Cowboy Junkies, Bruce Springsteen and Michael Petrucciani ( and many more).
Regarding books... I LOVE the way "Martin Amis" writes, and i really liked "Money" and "Arrow of Time". Julian Barnes "An end", "The corrections" by Franzen, "Never let me go" by Kazuo Ishiguro, and several by Murakami. I'd like to add my favourite graphic novels, "Aldebaran" by Leo, and "Cerebus" by Dave Sim.
