About Me

I’m someone who believes the best stories come from saying YES to new experiences — and from the people you meet along the way.

I’m always up for trying something new, whether that’s a sport, a random historical deep dive, or attempting to learn a language I’ll probably mispronounce for months.

Lately I’ve been into tennis, and I recently started teaching myself Norwegian. Let’s just say… progress is happening. Slowly. Very slowly.

Professionally, I work as a stress engineer — which sounds intense (and sometimes is), but I genuinely love it. At the moment I’m designing deep-water subsea structures, which means I spend my days making sure things survive extreme conditions. It’s technical, challenging, and honestly pretty cool.
Alongside that, I’m also building my own business, which takes up a lot of my time. Creating something from scratch is challenging, slightly chaotic, and very rewarding.

Outside of work, I dream about traveling the world and visiting every country someday. Exploring new cultures, sharing stories, and meeting interesting people is easily one of my favorite things in life.

If you feel like exchanging travel stories, practicing Norwegian with questionable pronunciation, or just grabbing a drink somewhere in the world — feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to connect.

Cheers,

F

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Totally by accident

Interests

I’m interested in meeting people who are open to sharing stories about their corner of the world — what life is really like there, what you love about it, and what makes it unique. I’m always curious to discover what we have in common and what’s completely different.
I don’t have any special preferences when it comes to who I meet — just be yourself. Authentic conversations and good energy matter more than anything else.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste really depends on the mood — but I’m almost always into a good beat. Anything that makes you want to move a little. I’m also a big fan of Kygo — easy vibes, good energy.

When it comes to books and movies, my inner nerd definitely shows. I have a soft spot for sci-fi.

At the moment I’m reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu and a novel by Jo Nesbø — so it’s a mix of ancient strategy and dark Scandinavian crime. Balanced, right? 😄

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I could probably mention a few amazing things I’ve done — but the first country ive ever visited is the one i have the fondest memories - Norway.
Beautiful nature, kind people, and experiences that didn’t feel real at times. I went rafting, did a sauna in the middle of nature, climbed a glacier, went fishing — and somehow still feel like I only scratched the surface. It’s hard to put it all into one short paragraph.
From that point on, I decided I want to travel more — properly explore, not just visit.
Since then, standing on the Great Wall in China and wandering through Japan only confirmed it: the world is way too interesting to stay in one place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you:
- How to open a bottle of wine with a shoe (yes, it works — no, it’s not my first choice… but it’s impressive at parties).
- A few salsa moves, plus some self-defense basics from krav maga or judo — you never know when youll need it.
- How to design and calculate mega yachts or subsea structures… in case you randomly decide to build one.
- How to make proper okonomiyaki — and yes, we’re doing it the right way.

I’d love to learn:
- Your favorite local dish (bonus points if we cook it together).
- A random skill you think everyone should know.
- Anything you’re passionate about
